Meet New-England-Conservatory–educated composer Glyph Greenleaf, and vocalist Victoria Dobbs, Toronto-based songwriters and sweethearts whose vivid lyrics and edge-of-your-seat storytelling send hushes over house concerts and halls.
Together, Glyph and Victoria combine the intricate structures and melodies of classical and early music with familiar folk harmony for a result that’s both musically challenging, and easy to listen to.
This classically-informed, contemporary, folk duo is known for precise counterpoint, snug harmony, and cozy vibes, while emitting unmistakable echoes of the folk revival era.
Elevating the layered vocals, Glyph turns traditional guitar sideways and showcases his own lap-based classical guitar technique, then mesmerizes on a modern, three-octave recorder.
